Draw a skull from 3 different views. Use reference in folder. Shading or rendering not necessary
- front view
- side vide
- 3/4 view
2. 50 (or more) head studies
- 2-3 min per pose/drawing
- focus on good observation steps, slow down, look and think before drawing. Think about who the model is and what the model is doing. Then try to communicate those ideas in your drawing
- focus on the process. Design and refine the best shape to capture the models' type.
- Make sure your tilt & yaw (rotation) is correct. Check and double check your angles. Check and double subtle head tilts. take your time to make sure the cross hairs (vert. and horizontal) center are correct.
3. 10 trace-overs of reference photo. Using photo ref and tracing paper (or photoshop), observe and trace the following:
- major landmarks of the skull (bone)
- cross hairs (hor and vert center)
- location of ear
