Part 1: Head Studies

• 20-30 head studies from observation
• focus on designing a good 2D shape and getting good gesture & character
• next focus on observing corners and major planes (3D)

Part 2: Detailed Skull Study

• add tone and edges as needed to render form

Part 3: Velasquez Trace over

• Using computer or tracing paper, trace the major planes discussed in lecture
• complete at least 5

Here is the second part of the week 1 homework. This was after Chris' comments on part 1.

After watching the video critique of my homework I wanted to try and work on some of my missteps.  So I did a few more block ins and another skull study. I also through in some head sketches done at a mall food court. Which I must say it was quite a challenge trying to draw people that don't sit still. I struggled with it but I think the last page showed some improvement.

I am really seeing a lot of places in my construction that need improvement.
